She Deserves is a nonprofit organization focused on helping abused women develop confidence, independence and economic success. She Deserves teaches women entrepreneurial skills they will use to build businesses and ultimately become emotionally secure and economically independent.

We captured personal interviews with women sharing their powerful stories of overcoming abusive situations to achieve entrepreneurial success. Because domestic violence is such a widespread epidemic, a relatable theme of “Everyone has a story…” was cultivated to pull viewers together that may have, in some way, been touched by domestic violence. The Crowdfunding video relies heavily on connecting with viewers emotionally; It begins with a transformation of a backdrop from dark to light, separated into three stages. The stages correspond thematically to the abusive situation, the choice to leave, and the importance of support and growth. Visually, the stages of transformation represent the idea of new and positive growth out of a place of darkness. The video concludes with an uplifting message of unity that calls the viewer to action, directing them to participate in or donate to the She Deserves crowdfunding campaign.
