Project Description

ANGELMAKERS: Songs for Female Serial Killers is a true-crime cabaret concert developed by Real/Time Interventions that explores the moments and motives of female serial killers throughout history.

The event was recorded in its entirety live in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. Because the performance relies heavily on acting, music and audience interaction, multiple cameras were used to capture the experience fully. In addition to filming the event, a promotional video highlighting the incredible performance was created for Real/Time Interventions to acquire funding for future performances. Sections of the performance were selected to portray the variations within the theatrical and musical elements of the cabaret. Musical elements underline the promotional video, with excerpts from an interview with writer Molly Rice and individuals’ responses and comments regarding their experience of the live performance drawn from social media.
