Project Description

Cupid’s Undie Run is a wonderful event where thousands of brave souls gather to run a mile in their underwear on Valentine’s weekend to raise money for The Children’s Tumor Foundation for neurofibromatosis research. This is the fourth year Pittsburgh has participated in the event, and it’s already one of the top cities in the country.

The Pittsburgh Cupid’s Undie Run may be relatively new, but they are quickly becoming one of the top cities in the country for raising money for NF research. The day involves a fun party on Pittsburgh’s North Shore, where participants can dance to music from local bands, participate in a costume contest, and receive awards for top fundraisers. In the middle of the event, a short 1-ish mile run occurs and is a chance for guests to show off their creative costumes and victory dances! The live event was captured in its entirety, focusing on interviews with each year’s top fundraisers, who are often parents and families of those affected by NF. These interviews are combined with b-roll of the event and ends with a call-to-action for viewers to donate to The Children’s Tumor Foundation.
